The MAR Health Park has fulfilled its commitment to guaranteeing access to its website, drawing on all of the recommendations given by the World Wide Web Consortium (W3C) and other international organisations. The objective was to create a website that would work better for everybody, and which would work on any facility with access to Internet.

Our web is also accessible in the sense of being easy to use, as it has been modified to be usable by the maximum number of people, whatever their experience, context and capacities, with a simple design and an efficient and clear structure.

The MAR Health Park  website achieves, for most of its contents, accessibility level AA, as defined in the WAI standards, is extended in some points and gives additional recommendations for improving accessibility.

How to browse the site without a mouse Keyboard shortcuts

For browsing the site, we have defined a series of combinations of keys that allow you to browse the site's most important contents quickly, without having to use a mouse. The combinations defined are based on the Alt or Control key, depending on the appliance, plus a letter or number:

  • Explorer in Windows: Alt + key + enter.
  • Mozilla Firefox and Netscape Navigator in Windows and Linux: Alt + key.
  • Opera in Windows: Shift + Esc + key
  • Safari in Mac: Control + key
  • Mozilla Firefox in Mac: Control + key

Text size

You can increase the size of the text you are viewing by default on this website on any modern browser, in the following way:

  • Firefox: Click on the menu "View", select the option "Zoom" and then choose "Zoom in". Following the same steps, and choosing the option "Reset" you will return to the default text size.
  • Opera: Click on the menu "View" and choose "Scale". This option is capable of increasing or decreasing the page size from 10% to 150% or 200%. Choose 100% to return to the default text size.
  • Safari: Click on the menu "View" and choose the option "Make text bigger". To return to the default size of text, choose the option de "Make text smaller".
  • Internet Explorer: Click on the menu "View", select the option "Text size" and then choose "Bigger". The option "Medium" re-establishes the default text size.

Other browsing aids

  • Descriptions in text of the contents of those images that require a textual explanation for some functional reason.
  • All pages work without javascript activated.
  • The web complies with the standard XHTML, which facilitates correct viewing in different browsers.
  • Positioning of the contents via css and without tables. In this way, the screen readers for the visually impaired and blind can read the document in a logical way.
  • The web design has followed the Website Contents Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) version 1.0, published by the Website Accessibility Initiative (WAI) of the World Wide Web Consortium (W3C).
  • The letter size and the colours can be modified using the browsers tools in order to adapt them for people with sight problems. We have made available a page of high contrast styles, as well as a page of styles for the most user-friendly printing.
