Breast lift surgery

Also known as Mastopexy, Breast lift surgery is a procedure for raising sagging breasts upon the chest of the woman by correcting and modifying the size, contour, and elevation of the breasts.

Womens' breasts change over the time due to pregnancy, breastfeeding, aging or gravity.

After the surgery, although the size is the same, the breasts are higher.

This procedure can lead also to the recentralization of the areola and nipple, so that the patient might lose some of the normal sensitivity in this area. Swelling after breast reconstruction can last up to six weeks after the surgery.

The breast may feel numbness after the surgery. However, women will be able to breastfeed as the lactiferous ducts are not affected.

Mastopexy does not last forever. The lack of consistency of the breast may occur in the future due to age, severity or among other factors.
