Stays for Residents of Neurology and Neurophysiology
Goals:
- Integration into routine EMU activities.
- Assistance to a Monographic Epilepsy Consultation (CME).
- Assistance to the consultation of vagus nerve stimulation (VNS) and the Ketogenic Diet program.
- Admission and evolution of patients in the EMU.
- Methodology of realization of a simple routine EEG with hyperventilation and photostimulation protocols.
- Knowledge of diagnostic techniques and induction of psychogenic seizures.
- Implementation and indications of portable video-EEG especially in cases of status epilepticus.
- Participation in the discussion of advanced electrode implantation techniques for stereo-electroencephalography (SEEG).
- Attendance to neuroradiology sessions of epilepsy.
- Presentation and systematic discussion of cases of preoperative diagnosis during the Multidisciplinary Epilepsy Session.
- Update and optimization of databases of patients with epilepsy.
- Presentation and critical discussion of scientific papers in epilepsy literature sessions.
