In the Epilepsy Unit we conduct several clinical studies in both children and adults. All these studies are regulated by the Spanish Agency of Medicines and Sanitary Products (AEMPS). Their goal is to evaluate new therapeutic alternatives in patients who do not respond to traditional drugs.
Your treating physician of the Epilepsy Unit will offer you to participate in any of these studies if you meet the necessary requirements. You will be given information about your rights regarding the possibility of participating in these research projects, as well as rejecting them without this implying any change in the doctor-patient relationship or the care process.
